This food is a great medium to high quality for people wanting to feed a more natural diet. There are higher and lower foods in this category, this was is a good middle ground.

I'm sorry to say that when the pet food scare came out this last year I was seriously disappointed to find that Nutro is produced at the same plant that produces several other very low end products and that it was on the list with all the other products that were being recalled! I had personally been assured by a Nutro rep that they use only the finest of ingredients in their foods. As it turns out ... they produce thier foods where they don't even have to follow very close regulatory procedures. The same place where all the low end foods were being produced and packaged. They just charge a higher price! My dogs became ill and had to be treated and since I've had them treated and switched brands ... they are now doing fine. I do however constantly have to watch my little IG in the pic with me. We will always have to keep a close watch on his liver now from the damage that was done in that food recall. Sorry folks ... I am NO LONGER a Nutro fan. I do sincerely hope they have improved thier formula.

I've heard nothing but good things about this food, but you can't seem to find it anywhere. It must only be carried at certain stores, but not sure which ones.

The employee at the store where we buy our cat food said that the manufacturer is not sending them as much, so the food is not readily available. We have to change our cat food again, which maked our kitties pretty grouchy.

Mostly positive results - good coat, but have had better skin with higher quality foods. Not the tastiest. Nutro's Ultra Holistic is tastier and has good ingredients. Some of their canned foods were on the menu recall last summer. Not good, although customer service was contrite and seemingly knowledgeable. Ultra dates seem more accurate as well. My dog really likes the stuff dry and his coat is better than on Lg breed or max.

Pros: Better than many available dry kibble, not too pricey.

Cons: Not all that tasty, sometimes spoiled before date
