reviewing the ingredients, Costco foods are a great value. My only concern is that it may be too high calorie for some dogs. When I switch from Science Diet to the Costco brand my Golden gained a bit of weight and I had to cut back her food a bit.

Admittedly, my dog eats anything I give him. And I do augment the dry food I buy from Costco with eggs, carrots, apples, etc. I would do that with any dry food. My dog's coat is incredibly shiny and his skin is not dry (if the lack of scratching is any indication). I'm happy with this product

I started feeding my dogs this about a year ago per the recommendation of a friend that used to work for a small animal vet. Her vet highly recommended it, so I've been using it ever since. The dogs love it and it's economical.

If you're on a budget but still want to feed your dogs a fairly high quality food, consider Costco Organic Dog Food.

Pros: Reasonably priced, organic

Cons: Probably not as high quality as some of the more expensive foods
