A good product for letting your dogs decide in or out. I have a fenced porch that they can go out to from my kitchen.

Installation: went OK, but the only drawback was that the door does not seal perfectly to my sliding door. I ended up building a custom cover to provide better weather sealing for the gap between the dog door insert and my sliding door. Not overly difficult but necessary to better climate control.

My dogs learned to use it fairly quickly. MY large and medium-sized dogs can all get through without much difficulty, except for my 13-yr old and that has more to do with her arthritis.

I installed this at our summer home in New York where there are HUGE bugs that used to fly in my house when I left the door open for the dogs to go in and out at their whim. Now, the dogs have the freedom to go in and out, but the bugs don't. This is a great product.

Pros: Keeps the flies and mosquitoes out but my dogs can come and go.

The patio door is the best thing ever. You don't have to cut a hole in a door or wall for your dog to have a dog door. Wouldn't have anything else.
