i think i have bought every pet/child gate out there and one of my dogs can get it down, and she weighs in at 7 lbs. This one she couldnt get down or climb over. It has an additional section to bring up to make taller, and the same for width. The duragate is made well, strong materials, and probably the easiest one to install. I saw a great review on another gate from carrie rowes site that I'm anxious to try. As a matter of fact she has several items that she uses that has sparked my interest. Check out her reviews, its worth your time, but it could break your bank.

I use this a lot especially during the Holidays, it is wide enough to close off the hall way and keep the dogs away from the door. Halloween is tricky with 4 Rottwilers all wanting to see who is at the door. This way I can go tend to the kids and the Dogs can still see but can't get in the doorway..

Sydney was a bit of a Houdini as a pup (I swear he even unzipped himself from his Sherpa bag). He easily jumped standard fences so this extension was very handy!
