I found this product to work very well. It is light weight. Mishka is a barker and no matter what I did he would bark. I bought one of these collars. After him wearing for a while his barking did slow down. It didn't stop totally, but still well worth it even though a little pricey.

I bought this originally for a 12 pound Chihuahua who wouldn't shut up no matter what methods we employed. It worked like magic. As soon as he was zapped once, he stopped barking and has barked less ever since then. Of course, he doesn't bark when the collar is on him, but barks when we take it off. I would never leave it on him when we're out of the room so that means he can annoy the neighbors every time I'm not around, but that's a whole different story. In summary, for him it worked and may have eventually trained him into acceptable silence if I had not gotten rid of the collar.

The other dog I have, a 12 pound Min-Pin was absolutely terrorized when I tried the collar on him. I literally had to chase him down and throw a towel over him to hold him in place to remove the collar. When he barked and it zapped him he started barking and howling and, since that's what it is designed to do, he continued to get zapped several more times. He was incredibly traumatized by the collar and I immediately decided to use a less invasive method to train him and his brother.

I give the same recommendation to everyone who decides to use one of these collars: Never leave the animal alone while the collar is on him or her and test it on your self before you put it on your pet so you know exactly how it feels. I had partial success with one dog, none with the other.

Pros: Works good on some dogs, easy to use.

Cons: Too strong of correction method for other dogs.

Really like these as they were our last resort in dealing with barking and complaining neighbors. They are expensive, especially if you live with multiple dogs. One did begin to leak after a few months of use.

Pros: Most humane anti-bark system

Cons: Expensive and one of three broke after short use

This has worked for some of my dogs but others just barked it out and buying new batteries every day wasn't good for the pocketbook. I eventually adopted out the barker so I don't have to use it anymore.
