Less expensive alternatgive to greenies brand chews

posted 6 years ago

My fourteen pound chihuahuha terrier mix eats these too fast to get the maximum benefit out of them. These may be better for dogs that take their time with treats. I like the fact that they are less expensive than the greenies brand, but they are still not inexpensive. I have to keep an eye on one of my dog's weight, he tends to like to overeat, so they are not the greatest choice for him, even when I compensate by reducing his regular food. I am a little conflicted because I have heard some rumors about this type of treat not being not great for a dog's health. Personally, I have never had any problems with them and my dogs love them so I would recommend them, but also caution that you should do your own research and come to your own conclusions.

Pros: less expensive than greenies, dogs love to eat them

Cons: my dogs eats them too fast to get a good benefit, still pretty costly

My dog, Tucker, loves these bones. He chews them up really quickly though. He also has loose stools if he has them too frequently.

Pros: enjoyable for dogs
