I was very excited to get this attractive crate/home for my dog. It was a bit challenging to put together but I did it, and we loved it. But within a few days the side panels, which are not made of heavy weight solid wood like the rest of the parts, began to splinter and split! The company sent new sides (of course this meant I had to reassemble!!), saying this had not ever happened with the small size hideaway before. I suspect that there is too much twisting pressure (torque?) on these flimsy sides.

I thought it was resolved, but it has now happened again, though it took a few months. I give up.

Pros: Initially perfect!

Cons: Side panels not well-made
