Good Travel Crate, but be careful who you put in it
posted 4 years ago
I bought two of these cabana crates. They are so lightweight and easy to use when traveling. But you must use them for dogs who do not want out of the crate. We used them for the first time for our two Portuguese Water Dogs while visiting our son and daughter-in-law. We left the dogs crated while we went out to dinner. Our son's dogs were closed into the master bedroom as usual. When we came home, Katie, one of our dogs, was loose in the house as were both of theirs. Katie was so proud of herself; she'd freed herself and then let the other dogs out of the bedroom. She had worked hard to unzip the zipper for the door of the crate. She did major damage to the fabric of the crate in the process. We've never used it again. We have continued to use the other one from time to time for Stormy. He's not the type to try to break out. But I do think he prefers to be in the wire crate rather than in the darker interior of this crate.
Pros: lightweight, great for travelling
Cons: dogs can destroy it if they want out, darker inside, expensive
