I have had this since about 7 years ago and it still holds up very well. I have never had my dogs get loose from it. I love the swivel factor since it helps prevent tangling, etc. I would recommend this if you need something of this nature for a tie-out. It is fairly easy to get into the ground also with its spiral action.

We bought one of these for the the extra large dog as we have an over 80 lb lab mix. It is tough to get into the ground and once all the way in, it will usually stay. However, our dog managed to bend this one over pretty good (and it was the one for extra large dogs that she bent-not a smaller one). I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving my dog tied to one of these.

Pros: Maybe in a pinch-but don't leave your dog unattended

If I had a dollar for every dog brought into a shelter dragging a tie out stake like this one.... I likely wouldn't ever have to work again!

The stakes pull out of the ground ~ sometimes because of the size of the dog and other time because they weren't in the ground correctly to begin with. Rain can change the grond conditions making them pull out for even the smallest of animals.

Pros: Works for small dogs... maybe

Cons: NOT RELIABLE
