I like a collar like this just for the look. Friends of ours has a small dog beagle/rat terrier and he looks cute in a collar like this.

I do know that the single ply is not a strong collar for bigger dogs. We use an extra thick for our large dogs.

I like the look and our dogs only wear these for special occasions.

We have a couple of these collars at the shelter that folks have donated. Once in a while, we will put them on the dogs for photo time. They are cute, stylish, well made. I would use on of these if I had a small dogs at home. Very nice leather collar that I would recommend.
