Flasher for Dog Collar

posted 7 years ago

The Beacon flashing light for a dog's collar is well-made and durable. The light is visible for great distances, and batteries last a long time.

The down sides are: if the dog is running loose, you can't see him from every angle and because of the way it attaches to the dog collar, the Beacon can come off. We lost a couple that we couldn't find again.

Pros: Can be seen for a long distance

Cons: Can't be seen from all angles; can come off collar

Peace of Mind for black lab owners

posted 5 years ago

The ruff wear beacon is great! I don't actually use one for my Siberian, Sasha. We never go out at night, especially not without a leash. However, she and I sell at lot of them at the store we work at. I find that black lab and other black dog owners in particular like them. Their big fear is that a car won't be able to see their dogs if they get away at night. Also, I recently had a friend buy one for his malamute the day after the dog spent a night out when he wondered away on a walk.

Pros: Great for black dogs so everyone can see them at night.

Cons: The battery can run out at inconvenient times.

Works great

posted 6 years ago

We use this when we take sandy camping and it is great simply for peace of mind. We can see her in the dark if she starts to wander too far and we can call her back. We also put our headlamps on her collar if we need more light for her.

Pros: easy to use

Cons: batteries!

Safety first

posted 6 years ago

This is such a neat little device. It is evident by all the horrible news stories about stolen animals and how they are abused these days to have all these resources available to help protect the safety of our pets

Pros: protection for pets safety

Cons: Can not be seen from every angle

Great for visablity

posted 5 years ago

We use this on our cart for added visibility during evening walks, and it works great clipped to a collar or lead. The flashing light does not seem to bother the dogs as I thought it might.

Pros: bright light, lips on to collar

Cons: none

I have 3 cats and they love this food. They eat less and walk away with a full belly. Eating less means pooping less and less litter. All around a great choice for my cats.
