I just used this for the first time tonight so I can't say much about durability but I gave it points for being sturdy and well made.
I've had many lights in the past and have been disappointed in them all. Some get lost in Aspen's long fur and can't be seen from a distance. Some work well for a few weeks then run out of battery.The batteries turn out to be those button type like they use in hearing aids (and buying a set costs more than replacing the light)
I had none of those problems tonight The fur guard kept the light from getting blocked. Since the light tilts, I adjusted it to shine straight down. That way, as we walked I could see the sidewalk. No more tripping.
I had no trouble seeing the light even when Aspen was across the field from me.

Cons: no downside found yet

Put the puplight around your dog's neck when you let them out or go out for a walk. It eliminates the need for a flashlight because the collar illuminates the sidewalk. If your dog is in the yard at night you can see them by watching the light running around!
