Puplight Safety Light For Dogs
(5 out of 5)
The PupLight Safety Light for Dogs is a must-have for nighttime activities.
October 13, 2011 6:38 pm | By Zootoo Editor Flinn D.
Your dog may, at times, be the canine version of a night owl for many reasons. Perhaps his energy level lasts longer than sunlight during trips to the park. Or maybe your own schedule means that nighttime walks have to happen when it’s truly nighttime and the sky is dark. Whatever the case, the PupLight Safety Light for Dogs is an ideal way to ensure that your dog stays highly visible and safe when you’re outside after dark.
The PupLight Safety Light is more than just a reflective patch or a blinking tag. Although the LED flashlight is small, the beam is powerful enough both to shed some light on the path that your dog is walking, and to make sure that your dog can be seen — emitting a concentrated ray of light that extends in front of your pooch.
In addition to its strong lighting, the PupLight Safety Light has several other features that contribute to its safety and effectiveness. The adjustable band ensures a comfortable fit that won’t slip off your dog in case your nighttime walk becomes more active than you might have anticipated. And the PupLight Safety Light can also be attached easily to existing collars.
Also, the PupLight Safety Light didn’t get buried in fur during trial runs with long-haired dogs, and the light can be angled to suit your dog’s particular body type.
The price of the PupLight Safety Light is also reasonable, retailing for under $16 during some online sales. The light requires AAA batteries, but claims 150 hours of light for each set. Simply put, the PupLight Safety Light is a great deal that helps to keep your night-owl pooch safe during outdoor activities.
Pros: Effective and easy to use; long-lasting and affordable.

I just used this for the first time tonight so I can't say much about durability but I gave it points for being sturdy and well made.
I've had many lights in the past and have been disappointed in them all. Some get lost in Aspen's long fur and can't be seen from a distance. Some work well for a few weeks then run out of battery. The batteries turn out to be those button type like they use in hearing aids (and buying a set costs more than replacing the light)
I had none of those problems tonight The fur guard kept the light from getting blocked. Since the light tilts, I adjusted it to shine straight down. That way, as we walked I could see the sidewalk. No more tripping.
I had no trouble seeing the light even when Aspen was across the field from me.
Pros: bright! uses AAA batteries
Cons: no downside found yet
