Our flexi leash is a "giant" 20 foot flexi. We have had it for more than 5 years, so I would say it is quite durable. It is easy to use. Our dog eventually learned where the end of the flexi was when it was fully extended & does not pull. I do not use it for training.

i've been looking for something like this but haven't seen them in the stores. as long as you make sure the dog doesn't go too far when they're not supposed to, this is wonderful for giving the dog room to run a little.

I personally don't like retractable leashes but for people that like them this product is great for strong dogs.
