1/2 in. dia., 20-24 in. neck, Brown -- With some dogs, no run-of-the-mill rolled leather collar will do. Only the best! The RuffGrip Buffalo Collar is exactly that, the best. It uses buffalo leather which is a nearly indestructible leather (of course if your dog chews on it, that is another story). Our current inventory has an authentic buffalo coin attached to it for a nice finishing touch. Because this is a natural leather product, color may vary. Prolonged soaking in water (like swimming) will cause leather to "bleed" its color. These collars use the most waterproof leather so it takes a pretty good soaking to cause this to happen.

Only type of collar I'll put on my collies

posted 5 years ago

I love this collar for my collies, it doesn't mat the long hair around the "mane". It is worth the investment and i would recommend it for any dogs that have longer hair around the neck.

Pros: perfect for the long hair of a collie

Cons: a little expensive, but worth it

Love this for double-coated breeds

posted 6 years ago

I've used rolled leather for all my dogs and appreciate a collar that doesn't cut the fur. They're a bit hard to find and they don't come with bling, but they're also almost invisible on the dog. I like a collar that doesn't leave a deep groove on the neck, that I can leave on all the time and looks comfortable and is durable. I think one collar/dog life is better than dozens of plastic collars/year of the dog's life.

Pros: last a lifetime

Cons: no
