We got one of these in 2004 for our black lab. We do a lot of night walks and he is much more visible while wearing this. I feel like I'm easier to see too.

Other benefits: it's a double layer and water-resistant, so it's great to have for cold-sensitive dogs. Also keeps my dogs dry when it rains.

The down side: the straps that go around the waist are poorly placed. My male dog seems to be unable to *not* pee on at least one of them. Because of the way they walk, both dogs end up with it on their side , rather than their back, unless we constantly stop and readjust it (so no running). An extra strap closer to the elbows would help a lot. And because it's warm, my lab doesn't seem to like wearing it during the summer.

Pros: Highly reflective

Cons: straps are poorly placed

Good for night time walks.
