Back when Riley was a puppy..in 2001.. it was HIS turn to accompany me to work every day.. I was always buying him toys and chews to keep him entertained.. He always chose the Fido Bones over any other chew toy ..

When he stopped accompanying me to work on a regular basis, I packed up his puppy items and stored them away at work..

Last year Kolby joined the family... and it was his turn to go to work with me.. I found the puppy items and offered them to Kolby.. The first item he picked to gnaw on was Riley's old Fido bone!!

( I had forgotten how much the dogs loved these things.. After thinking about it.. I remembered that I couldnt offer the Fido bones to Riley at home, because we had a Beagle with aggression problems.. I could have had 20 of these bones, and the Beagle would have thought they all belonged to him, and would have fought about it... So.. to keep incidents to a minimum, I didnt give them anything WONDERFUL to fight about.)

Page forward 7 years.. (The Beagle has a new home..) when I Re-discovered the Fido bones, I Knew Riley would LOVE to have some at home.. it took a bit of internet sleuthing, (Packaging was long gone.. ) but I finally located the company and ordered 3 new Fido bones.. As you may guess.. The Boyz are thrilled!

Then, for Christmas Santa brought The Boyz a Box of Fido Bones.. 2 Large Nylon Tuff Plus Bones.. 2 Large Texas T-bones and 2 Large Tugs.. The Boyz didnt know where to begin chewing!

The Nylon Tuff Plus bones are the most durable of the bunch..

The Tugs were holding up ok.. then one day Kolby decided to Seriously chew on Tug number 1, after he gnawed off a corner , I took it from him.. A week later he did the same thing to Tug 2.. now that is gone ..

The Texas T-bones have a nice design.. they are easy for the Boyz to hold between their paws.. but they are made from the SuperFlex material. The Boyz are quite serious chewers, so they are able to take larger chunks off the T-Bones.. They are only allowed the T-Bones when I can watch them.
As I write this. Kolby has just stolen one of the Nylon Tuff Bones from Riley.. (he's to lazy to go upstairs and find Bone #2) Riley had the bone for the last 30 minutes and gnawed on it the whole time.. Kolby will spend at least that long with it now.

I dont know what the Fido company does different than The "other N-bone" company.. but The Boyz have access to both brands and ALWAYS chewz the Fido Bones..

Yes.. small pieces do get gnawed off .. and yes they DO pass thru the Dog's digestive tract.( I can see the pieces when I clean up the yard.)

My 2 labs like most toys, but they loved this one that smells like beef. Good thing I 2 of them when I ordered! They were a little hard to find though.

The kongs just don't cut it with my dogs -- they will play catch, but don't really chew them much -- these things they just go nuts over!

My daughter's dogs don't need an excuse to play but this toy really got them going because of the beef smell!

My dogs love toys any time but add the beef flavor and they go crazy!
