Four paws UP

posted 5 years ago

I've got four dogs. Three doxies and a big mixed breed. I DO brush their teeth at least three times a week, but in between, they get these when I leave the house for a few hours. Koko, my big dog, gets four. They love them. Even Smokie who does not like chewies grabs one. Although they are designed for very small dogs, my guys get them because they don't like the bigger sizes.

I never find pieces around the house, so they must eat them all up. No stains left on rugs or furniture, either. My vet keeps them in stock, and he wouldn't carry them unless he thought they were effective.

Pros: All four of my dogs (even Smokey) loves them

Cons: I keep running out

Dental chews

posted 5 years ago

CET chews are much safer than rawhide, they dissolve rather than swell, so they don't cause intestinal obstructions, plus they have an enzyme that helps cut down on tartar build up on the dog's teeth.
They don't harbor bacteria either, which made one of my dogs very sick from some contaminated foreign made rawhide.

My 5 love them.
I buy the petite size for my dachshunds and break them into a couple of pieces so that everyone gets a piece at the same time and there's no fighting if one chews his faster than the others.
I heartily recommend them.

Pros: Dogs love them

Cons: Dogs really, really, love them

A treat my picky dog loves that is good for him

posted 5 years ago

My dog isn't attracted to any kind of chew toys/treats unless they taste and smell good to him. These treats are very "high value" to him, since he has some food guarding issues, he will munch on it and protect it. I'm glad he likes it so much because I am working on improving his dental health (he is 12 and is a rescued stray. They seem to work so far as a supplement to brushing and professional dental care.

Pros: Promotes oral health

Cons: Can only buy through vet or online

Great!

posted 5 years ago

I get these from my vet's office and it's the best investment I've ever made for my dog's teeth. They don't like getting there teeth brushed, so in between dentals, they get these great snacks!

Pros: Dog's love them, and keeps teeth healthy.

Cons: They go through them pretty quick, and they do get a little mushy.
