Not good for healthy teeth

It seems like everything dogs love ends up not being good for them. Rawhide chews tend to get sticky after being chewed on for awhile and that stickiness ends up on their teeth where it promotes tartar and decay.
Pros: dogs love them
Cons: poor dental
