The hard to carry is due primarily to size, but since we have labs and a GSD, that is to be expected. We have two of these kennels, and they have lasted well, even with dogs trying to chew on the edges. I like the fact that the door can be made to hinge on either side. They are roomy, and easily cleaned. The indentations on the top are a great spot to hold treats or the leash.

Rex loves his crate so much that when the puppy is not in it, he lies in it to nap.

I have one of these for my Eskie, he used to sleep in it every night when he was a puppy, and he was put in the kennel when we were not home, he no longer needs to be confined, in fact none of our dogs are any longer kennelled, but we have used the kenned for recovering our sick cat, and maybe will use it to foster kittens in the future.

Great kennel for traveling in the car or by plane.
