my friend's grandparents bought this gate to use at the top of their stairs that lead down to the basement. There is no door there, so they had to come up with something else to keep my friend's children from falling down the stairs when they came for a visit. I know this product was meant to help secure your fury friends, however, as you can see, it has many other uses too. It is great because it just squeezes into places basically. It doesn't cause any damage to your walls!

This gate has been a savior of new carpet. It was easy to install, is convenient to walk through, and looks better in the house than the standard wooden one. Thank goodness someone invented this. I was tired of falling over the old gates.

Keeping dogs in one part of the house is a hassle, but if you must, this gate is the answer. Easy to set up and use and strong enough for large dogs to jump up against, unlike baby gates.
