Wellness 95% Salmon

posted 6 years ago

Wellness doesn't have a canned dog formula called Salmon Something-or-Another, so we must be talking about Wellness 95% Salmon! :-)

I read something, somewhere that said dogs shouldn't eat fish. It soudned like a nutty idea to me, especially given the diet that arctic dogs get. And I have a Siberian Husky.

So when I'm at the supermarket I buy canned salmon, tuna, and mackeral. When I'm at the pet food store I buy the Wellness 95% meat products, including this salmon.

Dogs like stinky food, and ocean fish fill the bill! Note that it's only guaranteed to have 8% protein, though. That's around 1/3 of what's typical in dog foods.

So it makes a great picker-upper for dry food. And I mix powdered medicines and supplements into wet, stinky foods and then serve them by themself if it's not mealtime, or I go ahead and add in kibble.

Good stuff!

Pros: Good, needed line of meat-only products

Cons: Low protein - don't feed by itself!

It is a Winner!

posted 6 years ago

Wellness Salmon is the only wet food that our dog Tucker will eat on a consistent basis. A great food with natural ingredients and no byproducts.

A great product that's great for your dog! Highly recommend.

Pros: Dog's Really enjoy it. Natural ingredients. Nothing artificial.

Cons: Need to open with a can opener instead of being a pull top.

Amazingly Good

posted 5 years ago

About once a week I make my dogs a special treat. I don't give wet dog food out regularly as I am afraid of runny boo boos, but when they have been especially good, I like to give them a little reward. I mix this salmon treat in with their dry food and they love it. It doesn't take much to make them feel special without any adverse effects. I highly recommend this as a healthy and fun treat. Your dogs will love it.

Pros: Great for a treat and for health.

Cons: none
