Excellent Choice!
posted 5 years ago
I was originally feeding my dogs Beneful but I noticed that my dogs were developing allergies. We kept taking them to the vet and we'd come home with creams and shampoos, but it was an ongoing problem. We changed a lot of stuff before it finally occured to me that it might very well be food allergies. I looked online and found so many websites saying how bad beneful was for dogs who are sensitive to certain foods, especially with things like rice, or corn and other grains/wheats. We switched over immediately to Sweet Potato & Fish and we saw improvements right away. Since starting them on this brand of food, their allergies have been reduced greatly! No more itchy skin or swollen eyes, it was awesome. We've also noticed that our heaviest dog, Raskel lost a noticeable amount of weight and he had more energy. Best of all, they really like the way the food tastes. Our babies are pretty picky, but they gobble their bowls down right away. The only con of this brand is that it is a bit more pricey than most of the other brands, but overall, it's been worth it to make our guys healthier. I would definitely recommend this brand to other people with picky dogs and especially dogs with food allergies.
Pros: Weight loss, allergy relief, tasty
Cons: slightly more expensive

This is a great product line. I usually use the dry dog food but sometimes like to give my dog an extra treat. My dog loves this and I like the choosen ingredients. I will continue to buy this product. No stomach upset.

Good Stuff
posted 5 years ago
I just got done researching a ton of dog food and this one ended up really high on my list. The fish is great for the skin and coat, and the sweet potato is a great carbohydrate for them. It's good for dogs with slight allergies, but other dogs as well. I wish the fish came before the sweet potatoes in the ingredient lists (so I knew that it had more of it that potato), but with three things of fish after it, I think it's still pretty good. My one big problem with it was the price. It's also not all natural or organic. Readily available at Petco.
Pros: Healthy
Cons: Has sweet potatoe as the main ingredient

This is great food, highly nutritious and very tasty (says my dogs). I have seen the difference Natural Balance makes in my Shar-peis stomach condition and coat, and won't feed her anything else.
Pros: Great nutrition
Cons: none

Great for "hiding" medications!
posted 5 years ago
We recently had to start giving powdered supplements to our dog for her IBS. Since she has such a sensitive stomach, we already feed her the NB Fish & Potato dry food. She would not eat when we tried to sprinkle the IBS remedy over her dry food, so we purchased the canned wet food. We mix a spoon full of wet food in with her dry food and the powder and she eats it like a champ!
Pros: Our Dog LOVES the taste!
Cons: None that we know of at this time
