I used to feel guilty at holiday dinners. My family cooks this feast to celebrate the special day and my dogs just ate the same thing they had every day. I'm not a believer in giving dogs people food, so table scraps weren't even an option for special days.

When I was at my dogs favorite store, All the Best Pets, in Issaquah, I saw one of their end caps filled with several varieties of Merricks' food. I liked the quirky names and action-packed ingredient panel and bought a couple cans to try it out on Thanksgiving. When the time came to try them out, both dogs just snarfed their food up! I hardly had time to turn around and the food was gone!

Now every holiday I give them Merricks. I try a different flavor every time, and have never been disappointed. I feel it's a good healthy treat to make them feel special too!

Pros: reading thehigh quality ingredients packed in this little can, I didn't mind that my dogs lapped up the rich gravy in seconds flat!

I had not planned on a Thanksgiving dinner for my self in 2008, but I did find something unique for my dog. While at my local family owned type pet store, prior to Thanksgiving, they have a convenient display of Merrick Thanksgiving day dinner.

I care about what I feed my dog and so I read the ingredients prior to purchase. I liked what I read and was surprised. So was my dog! Happy Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner for your dog in a can!

Some years we have non traditional holiday dinners that would really not be good for dogs. I make enchiladas or have ham which is a no-no. I alway feel our dogs should have their feast too, they have no clue but wouln't mind if it was every day-right? This fills the bill of course maybe I should serve it on good china and place some parsely on the side!

Another product I stumbled across while I was in the pet store. Since I wasn't cooking Thanksgiving dinner this past year, I thought I'd pick this up for my two dogs since they always get a little turkey on the side. They seemed to enjoy it pretty well, after they looked at me with a quizical look like 'are we really allowed to eat this?'

Pros: A Thanksgiving treat for the dogs

I always buy a few cans to give out as doggie gifts around the holidays. We also gave out to the doggie trick or treaters that came for halloween!
Product has great taste and dogs love it. Must be good, the doggie trick or treaters from last year came back this year for more !!
