I do not use canned on a regular basis

posted 5 years ago

My do gets canned maybe 2-3 times a month as treat--and not whole can-- he loved it but he does love most canned food.. I probably would not feed regular-- he is prone to being overweight and eats a dry food that is healthy and not prone to weight gain.. but as I said once in awhile will not make him unhealthy.. He got it as a special treat as I has $ off coupon..

Pros: My dog only gets canned as a special treat

Cons: It does have a lot of not as healthy stuff and i wouold not use as regular diet

Not the most nutritious choice

posted 5 years ago

I have used Pedigree to entice dogs to eat at the shelter when they need to put on a few pounds or are anorexic. This is in addition to their daily ration of dry food. I would not feed this on a daily basis to my dog.

Pros: Entices picky eaters to eat

Cons: not the most nutritious choice
