Extreme All Weather Boots

My dog is really sensitive to the salt that they throw out on the street and sidewalks. These prevent the salt from getting into her paws.

Pros: great for the winter

Cons: hard to put on

I've never found a dog boot that stays on, until now. We used these boots all winter and haven't lost a single one. I learned to pull the boot all the way on so his toes were at the tip of the boot. Then I pull the velcro strap fairly snug and press the velcro once it's attached.

Because these boots are soft, the dog can feel the ground. After one or two awkward steps the first time my dog wore them, he walks as if he's bare-pawed.

I like the fact that they are long and have knit trim on top. It means that there is no gap between his jacket and the boot. With his old boots there was a gap (on the paws that didn't lose a boot!) and I'd have to defrost the caked snow before removing the jacket.

I bought a second pair because I'm afraid I won't find these again when his current pair wear out.
