We like to give these to the shelter dogs when we leave for the night as it keeps them busy and helps relieve any anxieties they may have. They come in different flavors. We can also refill the bones when the middle has been completely licked out.

These bones are fantastic, my dogs prefer beef or chicken, but they won't turn down any of the flavors!

The point is to keep them occupied trying to get the filling out, and making sure the outer layer is durable enough to withstand lots of chewing. It becomes mental stimulation for the dogs to keep working and try to figure out how to get more "stuff" out of the inside.

Once the inside is empty, you can put a bit of peanut butter, or spray cheese inside and pop the bone into the freezer for a bit. Voila, another couple of hours of fun for your dog!

Do be aware of the edges of the bone, as the edges thin, the bone can splinter. Once there are sharp edges, we toss them in the trash.

And, watch your toes, if the dog drops this bone, it can really hurt when it lands on your foot!

I have 3 dogs who love the filled bones. Even after they have gotten all of the peanut butter out they will go back and just chew on them. I also refill them so they can enjoy getting stuff out of them over and over again. The only problem I have had is sometimes the bones that they use are too thin and I can not give them to my dogs because they break easly.
