Dolce Vita Heated Pet Bed

posted 4 years ago

Ideally, I would prefer not to expose animals to sitting on top of an electrical current. But, this bed was almost picked by the cat himself. I try to be green and keep my house on the cool side during the winter (63-65 degrees.) I had a sore ankle and left the heating pad that I had been using on the sofa to go grab some water. When I came back, the cat was perched contentedly on the heating pad. I know it is silly to worry about a cat being cold in a house as they wear fur coats. But, it was my choice to be green and all, so I found this pet bed, which is much safer than sitting on a heating pad.

It is a huge hit! We put it away for the summer, because it doesn't get any use. But, when the first chill of winter rolls around it comes back out, and gets regular use (at least daily.) The cover zips off easily so that it can be thrown in the washer. I am not sure about durability since we only used it for a few months last winter, but so far it seems to be holding up quite well.

Highly recommend it for a chilly cat!!!!!

Pros: cover removes very easily for regular washing

Cons: seems small considering it is supposed to be for a "medium" dog

Keeps teddy warm

posted 5 years ago

This bed is good for Teddy since he's getting up there in years. They have sore joints just like us. We keep the heater on pretty much all the time.

Pros: good for his aging joints

Cons: none
