This type of bed is good for the really big or really older dogs. My friend has one; her dog is old.

I have 4 of these beds in my house. I have had them for quite a few years and my dogs seem to gravitate toward them when they want to lie down. My Golden drags his outside with him in all types of weather and therefore they need to stand up to constant wear and wash, which they do quite nicely. I recommend this product highly.
