Great for training

I recommend to my pet parent/students to sometimes buy doggie backpacks to aid in training. Filling up the pack with their toys, a small water bottle to add a little weight helps the dog feel like he has a job, tires them out more on walks and helps the owner-don't have to carry so much in their own pockets.
Pros: gives dogs a job, tires them out
Cons: not every pet store has them, can be pricey

Great for hiking the mountains

it is great to have my dogs help carry their water, food and bowl when we are hiking the mountains. they seem very proud to be carrying their share of the load!
