I have one of these that came with the crate. I have used it if my dog stayed in the crate for a length of time. Otherwise - don't use it. It is good for watering as it doesn't spill!

If you have ever had to crate your pet for a long period of time and don't have these water cups, you're going to love this product. Attaches easily to a crate and is secure; no more tipped cups inside the crate. Use two: one for water and one for food. Also works well with kittens, as the cup is flat and they can't tip it over easily like a rounded bottom dish.

Plastic bowls are not recommended...stainless is much better...cleans better...gets rid of germs better.

However, a plastic water dish is better than no water dish.
