Pet Greens Semi-moist Cat Treats
(5 out of 5)
Cats can't resist the high quality of Pet Greens Semi-Moist Cat Treats.
February 22, 2011 2:59 pm | By Zootoo Editor AmyLi
The little pellet-sized Pet Greens Semi-Moist Cat Treats, featuring Deep Sea Tuna or Roasted Chicken flavors, are made with wheat grass and are designed as healthy alternatives to outside grasses and dangerous indoor houseplants. How, exactly, the presence of these treats will deter a cat from munching on his or her favorite plant remains to be seen, but the treats were nevertheless a success. (The gist, I suppose, is that the natural, leafy lure that brings cats to plants and grass is supposed to similarly draw them to these treats). That may be, but I would guess that first and foremost, it’s the undeniable presence of fish and meat in the dark, slightly smelly treats that will have your cat pacing the floor for more.
The Pet Greens Semi-Moist treat isn’t a dry, crunchy treat, but isn’t quite like wet cat food either – and that quality makes it pleasant enough for an owner to dish out by hand, and easy for any kind of cat, from a kitten to a senior to chew, especially if the treat is broken into pieces.
Neither this reviewer nor the tester cats have much hesitation in recommending these treats, which can be purchased for around $3.99 in all major stores. And when owners read the treats’ ingredients – tuna, rice flour, potato flour, chicken, dextrose, glycerin, organic ground wheat grass powder, brewers yeast and phosphoric acid, they shouldn’t pause for too long either when deciding to pick these treats up.
Pros: No artificial colors or flavors with tuna and chicken at the top of the ingredients lists. Cats notice the difference!
Cons: Slightly more than the generic treat.

My cats, even the finicky ones who don't usually like treats, love these treats. They're a lot healthier than a lot of other treats. There's no artificial colors or flavors. Also there's no wheat gluten. They contain wheat grass, which provides chlorophyll, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, & amino acids. The wheat grass is attractive to those cats who like to munch on green plants.
Pros: No wheat gluten, artificial colors, or flavors; contains wheat grass
