The aroma of Kookamunga Catnip Treats will bring your cat running.
July 24, 2010 6:51 pm | By Zootoo Editor Flinn D.
Kookamunga Catnip Treats are flavored with real catnip and chicken and packed with nutritious ingredients that will keep your cat healthy and active. What the folks at Kookamunga have figured out — that others who have attempted to crack the Catnip Treat Conundrum have not — is that most of the pleasure cats derive from catnip comes from its scent. Kookamunga’s Catnip Treats are by far the smelliest catnip treats I have ever had the pleasure of placing in front of my cat.
Yes, there is chicken in these treats, and enough protein, fat and fiber to provide a balanced snack, but where the Kookamunga really packs its punch is in the unmistakable catnip scent that wafts from the container the second it is opened. The wafting smell brought my cat trotting across the room quicker than the snap of our mousetrap.
The treats come in cute little starfishes that are about the size of a penny. At first, they seemed a little more dry and chewy than catnip flavored treats I’ve given my cat in the past, but he washed them down with a gulp of water and seemed totally satisfied. As with any treats, Kookamunga’s Catnip should not be used as a meal substitute but as a fun and nutritious way to reward your cat when he’s done something right, or if you are just feeling guilty. As a rule of thumb, I never treat my cat more than three times a day – I don’t want to spoil his appetite for real food.
If your cat loves catnip (and what cat doesn’t?), he will surely love Kookamunga’s Catnip Treats.
Pros: Irresistible to cats, especially the aroma.
Cons: The smell may be overpowering to humans, if not cats.

From the hype on the can, you'd think this would make a cat do handsprings and cartwheels. :) Mine took to these immediately and likes them, but probably not a lot more than other treats. The ingredient list is short, which is good. The can and the treats' flat star shape are user friendly.
Pros: Good quality; friendly packaging
Cons: Don't know of any
