I'm disabled and weight is an issue when buying bags of cat litter. Cedarific is lightweight in the bag, and easy for me to lift. My cat loves it, and since it's wood particles and not clay, I don't have issues like it grinding into and soiling rugs if the cat tracks it across a rug. Unlike some wood litter, this also vaccuums up easily.

Also because this isn't clay based, and particularly is non clumping, I don't have to worry about it getting into my kitty's urinary tract and expanding to block his urinary canal, causing infections and creating the necessity to have surgeries.

I have been fostering shelter cats for the last 5 years and I have tried several kinds of litter. Cedarific is my favorite because one 7.5 lb bag goes farther than 25 lb of clay litter. And it's much lighter so I can easily carry the bag from 4 litter pans to the trash. While it costs more than clay litter, one bag of Cedarific goes almost as far as 2 bags of clay litter.

Pros: Light and low dust with a fresh cedar smell

Cons: It works better in covered litterboxes because it is so light that cats tip over the flat litter pans.
