Lots of fun, but need hard surface floors

My kitty really enjoys this toy when she notices it. Our problem is that most of our place is carpeted (moderate nap rug) and this toy doesn't move on carpet like it does on hard surfaces. Put it on a hard surface, and my cat is off and playing. But only my kitchen and bathroom aren't carpeted, so there's less chance of her noticing it.
When she does play with it, she's more entertained than I might have guessed from just looking at the toy.
Pros: movement catches kitty's eye, easy for kitty to bat about
Cons: doesn't work as well on carpet
