This is a turkey of a toy.
posted 5 years ago
I do not have great success with cat toys with feathers lasting very long in my house. I have a rambunctious crew, and they are pretty tough on toys. These feathers came off within two days, so I was left with a plastic stick with a jingle bell on the end. Then I had to deal with cats trying to eat the feathers. I don't buy cat toys with feathers anymore. The bell would get the cat's interest, but playing with a plastic stick wasn't too thrilling for either cat or human.
I did find another use for the plastic stick. I use it to fish out my other cat toys from under tight spaces like the oven, fridge, washer and dryer. Re-use, recycle, as I say.
Pros: Cats loved the feathers, while they stayed attached.
Cons: Feathers were quickly detached and almost eaten.
