Cats love it, but not built to last

Our cats go crazy for these, but they get destroyed pretty quickly. The feathers start to come off, and one of our cats keeps chewing on the little plastic ribbon parts if we leave it out, and I worry about the dangers of him eating it. (He loves chewing plastic).
So it's a good, cheap toy to entertain your cats with, but maybe don't leave it laying out when you're done.
Pros: drives the cats crazy, not loud or messy, inexpensive
Cons: gets destroyed easily, possibly hazard?
