A Da Bird is a wand toy consisting of a snap swivel for attaching a variety of ends. This end consists of a few stiff feathers. When you move the wand back and forth quickly, the swivel allows the feather attachment to spin, making a fluttering noise that my cats love. They'll chase it until they run out of breath, then rest a little and chase it some more!

I had to get a refill after my cats opened the cabinet where I keep toys requiring supervision; they had dragged the feather attachment out and halfway around my house, destroying the feathers in the process. I keep the refill with the wand but I left the damaged feather end out for them after that and it's become one of their favorite toys (they woke me up this morning tearing around my bedroom, throwing the feather up in the air and then chasing it for over a half-hour). They've almost completely destroyed the feathers on the original attachment and I'm now thinking about buying another refill to replace that.

My cats love Da Bird and after a while the feathers get tattered from all of the pawing and biting. The replacement feathers are a great idea! Rather than purchasing a whole new toy, it is cheaper to just purchase the replacement part. The replacement feather easily clips onto the string that is attached to the Da Bird wand. Within a very short period of time, the new feathers are attached and the cats are playing again. I have a hard time finding the replacement feathers in any pet supply stores in this area, so I usually have to order them online. Great item!

the cats like to try to catch it when i move it back and forth. it's soft so they're not afraid if it comes close to them. and it's easy for them to get a grip on it. a good toy for them

In our house, feathers are a hot commodity. Prancer seems very odd (to us) because he plays with the toys that have feathers on them in order to grab the feathers and lick them. Luckily he does not choke on the feathers. He licks them repeatedly and even chews the feathers once in a while. Digit loves playing with toys that have feathers, but I think it makes the toy seem alive and moving for him. Both of my male cats are all about toys with feathers, thus the need for replacement feathers, and often.

Cats love Da Bird. When you move the wand that the bird attaches to, it flys like a bird and makes a sound like a bird flying. It is great because when they have out played the bird and the feathers are all wet and chewed, you can easily replace them. The cats love this toy. I would highly recommend getting one. Very intertaining and all you have to do if fly Da Bird with a little motion of your arm!!
