Our family loves fishing, so ever since I first saw the Catfisher rod I thought it would be fun. I bought it Saturday, to my husband's exasperation, and our cat loves it! She loves toys, so this was right up her alley. She loved watching as I reeled and casted for her, but then began stalking, chasing, pouncing on it. After I reel it in, she will turn around and wait in the direction that she expects me to throw it. All in all, it seems to be a good toy. I would say that if you don't have a long hallway or adjoining rooms, or a large room, you might not be able to get enough area to toss it out. Our house has several places where the rooms are open to each other, so we have many options, much to kitty's delight! If she hears me cast it, she will come running from where ever she was!

One of the all-time favorites around here. It got so much hard use that the reel have out. And we had a few incidents where they got hold of it and we ended up with fishing line dragged throughout the house--wrapped around the furniture. That was a nuisance to clean up. Eventually the string got so tangled that we had to throw the reel part away. Were able to get a cheap replacement reel in a child's sporting goods section and make a repair.

My Cat Princie is a very hyper cat and enjoys chasing things, so this toy is great! Princie will flip and chase and runa fter this thing for hours nonstop! But he gets sad when you stop playing, so he sit in your face and meow.

My cats love this toy and line up so they can get it as it comes by. I have to put it out of sight as they will climb anywhere to get it to play with it. It is their fave and they have a lot of fun. Do not seem to tire of it.

They just have to hear the reel unspooling and they come running. Problem is it's too popular when there are multiple cats around, so they start battling for the toy. We actually have to limit use because of that
