My husband and I set out on a quest to find something to play with our cats. We looked at various things on sticks and since our cats still have their claws intact we went along the isle saying "Well that would get shredded in a second" or "Wont this look lovely all over our bedroom floor?"

Then we came across a brand that we both found to be (usually) indestructible, Kong Co. We have bought their products before for our pups when they were going through their teething stage and found it to be quite useful.

We brought home the purple one and fixed it so it dangled underneath our TV. The cat nip that was inside of it must have inspired the cats to take a closer look and after a few moments they were attacking the defenseless Kong.

In fact they just kept on going at it.. for hours... long into the night... I'd suggest putting it somewhere where you don't sleep... But they've continued to play with it even after a month or so. So I would say it is definitely a great buy and worth the money- and the amusement.

Well, I went out and purchased this item, and yup, my cats are going nuts for it. As all my cats (except Fletcher) have a yen for catnip, that alone is an attraction. My Sophie actually drags it around in her mouth, making this guttural, primeval sound (hoping to get a video of that). And this definitely is getting Jesse moving and hopefully will result in him losing some weight. It's a hit!

Pros: Keeps the cats occupied for hours

Cons: You definitely need to put it away when you want quiet!

I purchased this early today. It's great. the rattle is not to loud, the catnip draws them to it and the plush little fingers make a crinkleing sound.

Pros: Kitten loves it

Cons: I could only find it in purple or pink

The cat LOVED this toy, but ripped it apart within 24 hours leaving it extremely easy for her to choke on the pieces
