Benefiber rules for chronic cat constipation

My elderly picky cat in the early stages of CRF has had chronic problems with constipation. Even using laxitive lubricants for hairballs is not enough to keep her from getting constipated although that certainly helps. So my vet suggested putting about 1 t in her food once per day. It mixes in so easily and since it has no taste she has no idea she's getting so much fiber!! But her litter box does. So far, so good. I was taking her to the vet every other month for constipation. I'm keeping my fingers crossed !!
Pros: tasteless, mixes easily into food, economical
