Soft Claws For Cats

I tried these with my cats just to see how they work and they really did the trick. No damage but kitties could use their nails as they always had. They can be a pain to get on a bit messy but they are a good alternative to people who are thinking they must de-claw their cat or give them up.

Pros: Prevent nails from creating damage w/out preventing cats from using nails

Cons: could be overused

Years and years ago, back before either of us had gotten educated about the procedure, my husband and I opted, foolishly, to get 2 of our cats declawed. Neither of us knew what was involved, and unfortunately, neither of us asked. Both kitties recovered ok, but once we learned what the procedure really entails, we were horrified and we have never forgiven ourselves for that bad choice. Never again would be declaw. But, we have one kitty who uses her claws too aggressively, and that was a worry as she was quarrelling with her declawed brother. At the WONDERFUL SPCA of Central FL, where we now take our cats to the amazing vets there, we learned about Soft Claws. We bought them and tried them out,a nd they work great!!! Of course, she hated having them put on, as cats hate to be restrained at all. But they were ok to apply and they've worked very well. We're very pleased!

Pros: Soooooo much better than declawing!!!

Cons: They can be a bit tough to apply
