I work at petco cleaning out the kitty condo's for rescued paws. They always have this kind of scratcher in there. the cats love it and use it all the time. but because it is carboard it makes a humongus mess. cardboard pieces are everywhere and I have to clean them up. The small cardboard pieces are also a choking hazard. I also think there are some more ideas where these scratchers could have more shapes, colors and varitey's. So that they can fit where ever the owner may have room for them and they can also look more creative. such as a round one or one shaped like a star or a car. maybe even some shaped like cats, dogs and mice.

I get foster cats and this is a nice way to let the cat have their own scratcher at a low cost. One can never have too many. I travel with my cat and am always looking for one that isn't too heavy to fit in the suitcase.

Cons: take up space

My cats love to climb on these and scratch, it has saved the furniture. I sprinkle cat nip on it, they flip it over and havr fun.
