I'm always looking for and willing to try new cat litter scoops, and these appear to be new--and are actually "cute" as far as scoops go! I don't know why they are labeled "Cat Toys" (other than to have a standardized label and decrease production costs) since their description is "cat accessory plastic spade".

I was attracted to the apparently durable plastic as well as the higher sides of the scoop--both are needed and desirable for cleaning litter boxes containing scoopable litter (which tends to stick to the bottom of the pan when wet). The scoop does scrape well since it is sturdy, but isn't quite WIDE enough; it is longer than wide, but the opposite would be more suitable (i.e., wider than long). The scoop would be even better if it were larger and square-shaped.

As far as I know, the scoop comes in two colors--red and blue. The handle has a cat face at the top and is attractive. (I didn't want to get it dirty!) The scoops are inexpensive (made in China) and an improvement over other scoops in one way (the higher sides) but not as good in another way (not being wide enough).

I'm still searching for the ultimate kitty litter scoop!
