I would never use any other cat carrier now.

posted 7 years ago

I first ran across this at the Ohio State Fair a few years ago. Because the cat in teh dispay was so calm, I decided to buy one and try it with my very high strung cat. WOW! While it did feel like I was just buying a pillow case with a handle on it, it is so much more! Instead of havign to chase the cats around to grab them and put them in a crate, I just slip this over their heads and tightent he head hole enlcosure so that their heads but only their heads poke out. Then I zip up the bottom and pick this cloth carrying bag up by the convenient handle. I can actually carry both of my cats on my arm like a purse. They are totally calm and comfortable. The carrying handle also works as a seat belt strap so they don't slide around in the car.

Now my cats are 16 or so pounds each, and these hold them up comfortably. They feel like they have more control and it really shows. And should the bag meet with an urine accident on the way home, just pop it into the washing machine. Easy as pie.

Pros: My cats do not get as scared when gogn to the vet. They are more in control of their position.

Cons: none

Cat Bags are fantastic

posted 7 years ago

We found cat bags at the Ohio State Fair, and went back the next year to get one for each of our six cats. They work great for carrying the cats to the vet, or for holding the cat when they need medicine or shots. The cats are zipped into the bag with their head sticking out one end. The neck is adjusted with velcro. Even our wild cat calms down in the bag. They also come with handles, so I could carry four of the cats at the same time, like purses slung over my shoulder. The cats must have thought they were being hugged. When our wildest cat had to have her vaccinations, we just unzipped the butt end, and the vet gave her the shot while she was still in the bag. Our vet liked them so much, he wanted to know how to get them for their practice.

Pros: easy to use, comfortable for cat, washable

Cons: hard to find
