I'm all in favor of any product that might persuade an owner not to subject their cat to the barbaric practice of declawing, but I found this product to be over-hyped.

Basically it's just a roll of 2-sided tape. It does work for awhile but once it gets some cat hair on it the stickiness is gone and it must be replaced which can add up cost-wise because most places sell this for between $15 - $19 a roll.

Also, depending on what type of fabric you put it on, if you don't take it off carefully it can actually do a bit of damage to the fabric.

I had good luck with the strips but they were never large enough for some areas where my cat liked to scratch like along the bottom of the sofa or the entire back corners of a chair. Then they came out with the roll & that was perfect! Just like a roll of wide, double-sided tape, this can be cut to fit any size area. Its effective at stopping destructive scratching too. Very effective tool to train cats where not to scratch. Do be careful when applying it to microsuedes. Sometimes it sticks too well to the fabric & is very hard to remove.

I like to buy sticky paws on a roll so I can cut to fit for a larger area that needs it. One of my cats likes to scratch the woodwork and I can cover a long area with this roll.

Pros: great for larger spaces

Double-sided sticky tape on a roll...easy to use, and can be cut to fit. I put it on the edge of some shelves, and the cat no longer tries to bat stuff off!

Pros: easy to apply and it works!
