I have tried this product with three cats. My dad needed something to keep the cats off the Christmas tree. Once they smelled it, they stayed away from the tree even after the smell faded. With my cat Gracie, she will stay away for a day or two, then go back to the forbidden area. You need to be very diligent about spraying the specific area. The smell is awful, but overall, this product does the trick.
