The billions of beneficial acidophilus organisms in this fruit juice blend will help your cat to maintain healthy digestive function. It's a great idea for everyday use and especially important to use during and after antibiotic treatment. Versatile formula can be mixed with moist or dry food, added to water or fed directly. Suggested usage is 2 tsp per meal for cats and kittens under 10 lbs; 4 tsp per meal for cats over 10 lbs.

Acidophilus seems only somewhat helpful

When my foster kittens are sick and have issues with diarrhea I have tried acidophilus, especially if they have had antibiotics and I think the diarrhea might be due to that. I have not noticed a huge difference afterward though I'm sure it must help to some degree. Adding some higher fiber food to the kitten chow has worked better.

Pros: puts healthy flora back in the gut after antibiotics

Cons: don't always notice an obvious difference
