Dry cat food for adult indoor cats from one to 10 years of age with constant hairballs. An almost constant temperature and artificial lighting leads to regular hair loss in indoor cats. Two thirds of the lost hair can be swallowed during the long and frequent grooming sessions. It may become lodged in the digestive tract and form hairballs. Predisposition to hairballs is accentuated in so-called naturally "low-excretor" cats that have food-retaining pockets in their intestines and in semi and long-haired cats. Hairballs can lead to serious illness in cats. This could include vomiting, constipation, or possibly even intestinal blockage. Royal Canin Intense Hairball 34 is a unique complex that promotes the elimination of swallowed hair during moulting periods and limits hairball formation in the most susceptible cats. Contains a combination of targeted micro-nutrients (vitamins, essential fatty acids, amino acids, chelated trace elements), in just the right quantities to nourish the coat. Has an exclusive combination of ingredients (FOS, micronized beet, fish oil, and very highly digestible proteins) to guarantee maximum digestive safety. Provides an ideal balance between the food's energy supply and your cat's energy expenditure, in relation to its lifestyle and level of activity. Improves oral hygiene by reducing the occurrence of tartar deposits on your cat's teeth. Stimulates the elimination of hairs from the intestines and reduces the risk of hairball formation. Royal Canin Hairball Formula Food

posted 6 years ago

I own four himalayan cats and having hairball formula food is essential for their happiness. They also eat Royal Canin Persian formula. My cats will only eat dry food and I know that they are getting a well balanced diet with Royal Canin. I've tried other brands, but they are really fussy.

Pros: My cats love Royal Canin Food

Cons: None, that I've encountered

My cats were having some major problems with hairballs until I found this food. They love it too! It has lots of extra benefits too. Plus its natural. I recommend it highly.

Pros: no more hairballs

Cons: a little pricey but worth it
