Also offers tips on how to keep your new pet occupied so it doesn't t destroy the household furniture. This book offers a large number of tips and instructions to living at peace with a cat. Discusses everything from litter box maintenance to providing toys to play with as well as how to correct problem behaviors and health care tips.

Great gift

I have had cats many many cats my entire life and "think" I know all about them, but, of course I don't because no one can. Bought this book for a dear friend who was ill and needed and wanted a pet and although an ex dog owner she was unable to take care of a canine friend. She got herself a shelter kitten and I bought this book for her. She read it from cover to cover and called me time and time again to discuss "issues". Despite my experience, I have also learned a few things. A great book for the cat owner/lover.

The first book i owned for raising my kitten. It was very helpful and interesting reading.
